At the February 1 meeting of the Government, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh Masis Mayilian made a proposal introducing an amendment to the NKR Law ‘On State Duty’.
It envisages to abolish the state duty for a single entry tourist visa for 21-day stay in the Republic. The proposed legislative amendment is aimed at stimulating the development of the tourism industry as a promising sector of Artsakh’s economy.
The Government approved the draft law, which will be submitted to the National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh for consideration.
In 2018, 28 588 tourists visited the Republic of Artsakh, which exceeds the previous year index by 23%.
