During the recent government session, Tigran Petrosyan was named the governor of Shirak. He spoke to reporters in an interview about what he plans to do in Shirak.
“The Prime Minister gave me a clear order to focus on the province’s socioeconomic situation as a priority. He also said that improving investments will be a tool to have an impact on the situation and to uphold development in the region. Those who wish to carry out activities in the region will receive immediate support from the state,” the new governor said.
Regarding changes and problems in the region, the governor said that a committee was formed to quickly look into the situation and understand the basic problems. According to this, they will also propose solutions.
When asked how much time will be needed for him to remove the disaster zone, the governor made a small correction. “How much time do we need… this is everyone’s problem. In this case, society, the state, and individuals need to mobilize their resources. We are determined.”
