The government does not want to hold negotiations on Lars alternative route

February 08,2019 16:37

The government does not want to hold negotiations regarding an alternative route to Lars so that it can avoid any disruptions in the process. Minister of Transport, Communication, and Information Technologies Hakob Arshakyan spoke to reporters about this after the extraordinary session of government.

According to him, negotiations are underway, but Armenia does not wish to make any comments. “We have been asked about this many times. We tried to not comment on this and we will avoid commenting. I can only say that it is an important project for Armenia. In any case, we are avoiding making comments to prevent any disruptions in the negotiations process, while taking into consideration that is not an Armenia-Georgia or Armenia-Russia border, but instead the border of two colleague nations. And we would like to avoid interfering and commenting as much as possible,” the minister said.
