Lawyer Heriqnaz Tigranyan, a deputy from the My Step faction, was elected Vice President of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Healthcare and Social Affairs. “I think that we will work very well as a team and that we will satisfy the expectations of society. I have gathered some experience and I have become a professional in issues of defense of working rights, so I believe that I will be able to serve the people through my work and that I will be able to initiate important legislation,” Heriqnaz Tigranyan told her colleagues.
She told reporters that she does not believe the My Step deputies are not prohibited from expressing their own ideas. “I cannot say that they completely agreed with the perspective of the government. I also can expect the same from this committee. But if the government’s plans and ideas will not benefit society, the committee will not support them.”
Regarding government plans that have already been published, Heriqnaz Tigranyan said that the committee has made several suggestions. “We have suggested regulations in this sphere as well as clarifications, which had not been foreseen. If we are to compare, then we can say that our suggestions have been accepted by the government.”
