Russian companies are interested in Yerevan development programs

The possibilities of expansion of trade and economic ties between Yerevan and the RF were discussed during the meeting of the First Deputy Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan with the commercial representative of the Russian Federation in Armenia Andrey Babko.

Stressing the importance of active cooperation with Moscow, Saint Petersburg and other cities of Russia Hrachya Sargsyan expressed confidence in its becoming more effective.

“Today our policy is aimed at the sustainable and proportional development of urban economy. At this stage our priority task is to solve the problems related to public transport and waste management. We are ready to hear out your proposals”, marked Hrachya Sargsyan.

Touching upon the program of transport reformation Andrey Babko noted that the Russian companies producing buses are ready to present advantageous offers to Yerevan. Besides, Russian companies are interested in the programs of recycling and elevators facilities.

“Our partnership has a long history. We are ready to discuss and support new possibilities of cooperation in various spheres of urban economy, which will be beneficial and acceptable for you”, said Andrey Babko.

Hrachya Sargsyan expressed gratitude for the information and willingness to support cooperation expansion. The First Deputy Mayor also mentioned that to provide proper snow cleaning activity Yerevan Municipality had purchased 9 units of special machinery of “KamAz” (Russia) production which shows the possibilities of cooperation expansion.
