“It is nicely written and full of wishes,” Prosperous Armenia leader Gagik Tsarukyan said regarding his impression of the new government plan.
Besides this, Tsarukyan said, “I cannot hide the fact that there are 2-3 elements that, if carried out, will bring about positive changes in people’s lives. We will hold speeches where we will talk about everything and you will find out.”
When asked if he can say whether he has a positive view on this plan and whether his party will vote in favor of it, Tsarukyan said, “A revolution took place, but an economic revolution needs to take place, too. This is not a plan for economic revolution. If it does not change, we cannot vote in its favor.”
When asked if he thought that Nikol Pashinyan did not present a daring plan, Tsarukyan responded, “In order to hold a political revolution, one needs to be daring and have will. But in order to hold an economic revolution, one needs to have money, money sources, time limits, and mechanisms, all of which were lacking in this plan.”
Reporters wanted to know once more if he will be voting against it. Tsarukyan said, “Do I need to repeat myself 700 times?” Tsarukyan did not respond to the observation that he voted in favor of Hovik Abrahamyan’s plan, which also lacked all of what he mentioned.
