Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan once again called upon everyone in the National Assembly to purchase products made in Armenia. Aravot asked the Vice Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, whether he followed the Prime Minister’s request, and if he purchases his food, clothes, and household items from Armenian producers.
He responded, “Yes, I also have watches that were produced in Armenia. My jacket was also produced in Armenia,” he said while showcasing his clothing, stating that an Armenian tailor sewed his suit just for him.
He said that the Prime Minister’s request and his treatment are the same in this instance. When asked which field he believes Armenian production is of lower quality than foreign production, Alen Simonyan said, “Ties are definitely of lower quality. My shoes are also Armenian production. Everything was made in Armenia besides my tie.”
