“Announcements regarding investments are not satisfactory. We need to create the proper infrastructure and institutions that will allow investments to flow into our country,” Armenian Revolutionary Federation member Artsvik Minasyan said during a press conference.
According to Minasyan, there needs to be a system of investment security within these institutions, as well as legislation regarding state-private collaboration, warranties, investment insurance, and more. “We cannot have large-scale investments without the creation of these mechanisms.”
Minasyan also does not believe that the 5 percent increase in economic activity will not help Armenia to eliminate poverty.
Representative of the ARF Executive Body Ishkhan Saghatelyan spoke about the decrease in ministries. He said that they have not yet heard any good reasons from the government as to why the ministries have decreased. The only argument is that the ministries are not working well. Ishkhan Saghatelyan said that he wants to know how the Ministry of Culture will suddenly work well if united with the Ministry of Education and Science.
“This governmental structure is wrong without any visions, without widespread discussions with society, and without any final evaluations of this structure’s effectiveness.”
