The My Step faction had a closed meeting with Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan.
The meeting lasted for two hours, after which head of the faction Lilit Makunts told reporters that two ministers, Arsen Torosyan and Hakob Arshakyan, wished to meet with the deputies. “They had several purposes for doing so. The first was to discuss problems that are present in these sectors, as well as to discuss the bills they have drafted, to introduce us to some of the problems they have faced, to understand what solutions there are on a legal level, and to know what actions we can take as legislators.”
Makunts said that she was unable to ask the ministers any questions, but the other deputies asked about publications in the media regarding the MIBS Medical Center, which was said to have connections with Minister Arsen Torosyan, for which the minister also is said to have increased funding by 2.5 percent. Torosyan said that his wife is the director of that medical center. According to Makunts, he gave an exhaustive response.
The meeting with the State Revenue Committee head and the Minister of Finance lasted for 4-5 hours, but the meeting with Arsen Torosyan lasted for two hours. When asked if this means that he worked well, Lilit Makunts laughed, and said that it was due to time constraints that Torosyan’s meeting was shorter.
Reporters also asked if Davit Sanasaryan and the head of the National Security Service will also be invited for a meeting.
