Reporters asked Minister of Justice Artak Zeynalyan during a briefing in parliament about whether he tried to visit Robert Kocharyan, if the latter refused to see him, and if so, why. Zeynalyan answered, “If I discuss the reasons as to why he refused to meet with me, then that means I will agree to the fact that I met him or I didn’t. That is not something that should be made public. Detention facilities are under my authority, and I can visit all of them and understand what condition all of them are in. But as far as whom I visited and what conditions I met them in- that is information that cannot be made public. I neither confirm nor deny this, because that is private information.”
