In 2018 Artsakh recorded high economic growth rate (more than 11.9%).
As “Artsakhpress” reports, Manoush Minasian, chairwoman of the Artsakh National Statistical Service noted this at the press conference held on March 12, adding that the economic activity index in December 2018 comprised 111.8% as compared to December 2017 and in January-December,2018 (rising), 112.1% as compared to January-December 2017.
In 2018 Gross domestic product amounted to 310.2 billion drams, instead of 272.1 billion drams in 2017. GDP growth rate was 111.9%, index deflator – 101.9% (instead of 115.6% and 102.5% respectively in 2017).
In 2018 GDP per capita at current prices made 2103.3 thousand drams, 4354.7 dollars or 3685.3 euros against 1855.9 thousand drams, 3844.7 dollars and 3403.8 euros in 2017.
The 5.1 percentage points of 11.9% growth rate has been ensured by the mining industry and the exploitation of open pits, 1.6 percentage points – state governance and defense, compulsory social service , 1.3 percentage points- construction –and 1.2 percentage point- electricity and the supply of gas, steam and air of good quality, “noted Minasian.
According to Minasian in order to estimate any index recorded in the economy, it is necessary to take into consideration the peculiarities that have been accompanying our economy for many years.
