“That is the right of every citizen. Therefore, I won’t comment on it,” Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told reporters about the fact that Robert Kocharyan filed a lawsuit against him for public slander against the latter’s honor and dignity.
Pashinyan emphasized, “Our goal is to have a court that will examine the cases of Robert Kocharyan and every other citizen within the confines of the law. I and the government are loyal to our policies, and I don’t want anyone to doubt that.”
Regarding comments made by Robert Kocharyan’s lawyers that the criminal case against the second President is “political persecution,” Nikol Pashinyan said, “That is an incompatible term for a government that focuses on love and peace. The opportunity and time for persecution already passed, therefore, no one should regard any action as being personal. People who make such comments affect the possibility of this situation remaining objective. I will not make many comments about this case so that no one suspects that I am directing the case.”
