On March 25th, Mayor of Yerevan Hayk Marutyan used public transportation and took bus number 42. He was also a standing passenger.
Aravot Daily has a video that shows Hayk Marutyan speaking to other passengers on the bus.
Marutyan’s spokesperson Hakob Karapetyan told Aravot Daily about what the mayor’s motives were in riding the bus. “Hayk Marutyan wishes to create the opportunity to walk or take public transportation during the day. He had to run a few errands during his break, and he decided to use public transportation to also be able to speak to citizens. The mayor likes to do this sometimes.”
