Graffitiing the asphalt seems to be a horrible crime in Armenia: Konstantin Ter-Nakalyan

April 15,2019 21:48

The coordinators of the #SutNikol (Fake Nikol) initiative, Konstantin Ter-Nakalyan, Narek Samsonyan, and Artur Danielyan, were released from police custody.

During an interview with Aravot Daily, Artur Danielyan said that they spent three hours at the police station. Aravot asked why they were detained, and Konstantin Ter-Nakalyan said, “It was an administrative arrest. They said that we used public property for the wrong purposes.”

When asked to go into more detail, Ter-Nakalyan said, “They explained to us that the asphalt is not meant for such purposes, and this violation typically warrants a fine. We violated public order by graffitiing the asphalt, which is a horrible crime.” He was asked if the police treated them well. “There is nothing important to say about the police. Our protests were not against the police. They were against Nikol Pashinyan.”
