Member of the Executive Body of the Republican Party of Armenia Gagik Minasyan spoke to reporters about the Ararat Cement factory and how it is logical that imported cement will be more expensive than local cement. He also spoke about Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s comment on the protests being carrying out at the Ararat Cement factory. “A high-ranking official of the state said that this is an internal issue between the business owner and the workers, but this approach has been forgotten within capitalist countries.”
Minasyan also said that exports are important for a country like ours, since updates in technology through investments are needed. “Data proves that we have serious problems in terms of investments. Our economy will be non-competitive within 1-2 years. Our economic activity is not based off of exports, and the importation of machines and equipment has decreased.”
