During the most recent session, the government decided to take 124,146,000 AMD (approximately 258,000 USD) from a backup fund to finance events that are going to be held on Citizens’ Day.
According to an amendment made to the Law on Holidays and Memorial Days, Citizens’ Day will be observed on the last Saturday in April. This year, it will be celebrated on April 27th.
The money allocated for this day, according to the decision, will be given to the Prime Minister’s staff to appropriately organize the events for Citizens’ Day in Yerevan and all the regions of Armenia.
