“I think Armenia is an important transitional stage. This process mainly took place thanks to the youth. Their energy towards establishing democracy not only inspired Armenia, but the whole world as well,” USAID Armenia Mission Director Deborah Grieser announced at the opening of the first anti-corruption school in Armenia.
She congratulated Armenians on Citizens’ Day and said that her daughters were in Yerevan one year ago. “They were very impressed and inspired by the revolution. The Economist newspaper considered Armenia to be the country of the year. I believe that Armenia will uphold that title in the coming years. I do not see any reason why it wouldn’t.”
Deborah Greiser also expressed that Armenia’s future is in its youth and that the youth will provide Armenia with the opportunity to open paths for the development of democracy.
