Construction of the Vedi reservoir continues in the Ararat region. The reservoir will help to somewhat sustain the demand for irrigation water in the region. Governor of the Ararat region Garik Sargsyan announced this during the “My Step for the Ararat Region” conference.
He also said that the irrigation water canals are being reconstructed. According to the governor, Ararat also has the opportunity to develop tourism. “We plan to construct an agricultural tourism center near the Khor Virap monastery this year.”
Garik Sargsyan assured that people who are prepared to invest in the Ararat region will be shown individual treatment. The governor also announced that the Ani textile factory will open soon.
