The celebratory activities for Europe Day 2019 will be launched on 8 May in Armenia and continue until 26 May.
This year, the Europe Day events will be held under the theme “Road to Europe” and will take place in the country’s five regional cities: Kapan, Yeghegnadzor, Ijevan, Dilijan and Gyumri.
The Europe Day 2019 activities will then conclude in the country’s capital of Yerevan.
Europe Day first regional open-air celebration will be in Kapan on 11 May. Yeghegnadzor will host the Europe Day celebrations on 12 May, Ijevan – on 17 May, Dilijan – on 18 May, Gyumri will host the celebrations on 19 May and Yerevan will host a classical concert (Ludwig van Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony) on 21 May and the open air event on 26 May.
The events will include outdoor information fairs attended by various EU-funded projects and project beneficiaries, various sports and entertainment competitions, a “Nordic Walk” in Yerevan attended by the EU Ambassador, branded gifts from the EU Delegation to Armenia and big open air concerts in all the cities with performances by some of the best artists from Armenia and the EU.
The Embassies of EU Member States accredited to Armenia have also joined the EU Delegation with their culture and entertainment events in May.
