During Nikol Pashinyan’s press conference, he spoke about the Republican Party and the Republican Party leader, Serzh Sargsyan. Nikol Pashinyan had said that since Sargsyan has still not answered the question of how he and his family members became millionaires while soldiers did not have the proper clothes, Pashinyan excludes the possibility of solidarity.
Vice President of the Republican Party Armen Ashotyan responded to Pashinyan’s comment that “no former government official will ever be in power again in Armenia. There also will likely not be an opposition. The RPA has been suspended by the people, if not closed entirely.” Ashotyan said, “What Nikol Pashinyan was saying about us proves that he did not become Prime Minister. No one in Armenia causes his ratings to fall as badly as Nikol Pashinyan himself does.”
Regarding Serzh Sargsyan, Ashotyan said, “I do not believe that it was suitable for a state official to speak in such a manner on a national holiday about people who participated in the May victories, who allowed the state of Artsakh to be created, and who allowed Nikol Pashinyan to be the Prime Minister today. You will have the opportunity to ask Serzh Sargsyan specific questions, but I think it is immoral to speak in such a way about someone who helped to organize the Shushi liberation operation, especially today. Nikol Pashinyan is stuck on the first season of Game of Thrones. He doesn’t understand that the rest of the seasons need to be filmed.”
