“I do not have any information to talk about regarding the Minsk Group meetings,” US Ambassador to Armenia Lynne Tracy told reporters on May 15th.
Regarding the meetings between the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan, the ambassador believes the process between Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and President Ilham Aliyev is inspiring. “As a result, we have noticed a decrease in violence at the border, which is a positive influence at the moment,” the American ambassador said.
She also spoke about the recent visit of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the US Department of State, George Kent, and his statement that the depth of US-Armenia relations should not be measured by how often visits take place. “The dialogue that took place last week, as well as the visit of the delegation of US Representatives show our mutual commitment to our activities,” the ambassador noted.
