“Unfortunately, large changes were not made in the judicial system until now. We see fits of public rage due to decisions that judges make,” Vice Speaker of the National Assembly Lena Nazaryan said during hearings about transitional justice in parliament.
According to Nazaryan, if the judicial system does not want to participate in democratic changes, then it becomes the reason why calls for vigilantism and lawlessness are made. “Those calls are made because of the judicial system’s resistance against changes.”
