The first session of the investigative commission on the circumstances surrounding the April 2016 military operations took place on June 4th. Andranik Kocharyan told reporters after the session, “The commission’s discussions will be on topics such as battle preparation, how well rules are being followed when combat duties are being carried out, and the service of troops. We will also be looking at decisions made by commanders to prevent and to avoid attacks from Azerbaijan, as well as legal evaluations of incidents that have taken place.”
Andranik Kocharyan said that the commission is allowed to demand and to receive defense acts, orders, service investigation documents, information, documents, reports, and more, including ones that are confidential.
Officials will be invited to commission sessions, as well as high-ranking officers.
