Today in the Parliament of the Netherlands a resolution has been submitted by MPs condemning the ridiculous statement by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on the commemoration day of the Armenian Genocide. The motion was submitted by the member of the Christian Union faction, MP Joël Voordewind, expressing aversion to Erdogan’s speech. I hope the resolution proposed by our Dutch colleagues will be adopted next week in the Parliament, being a wake up call for Genocide denial propaganda, hate speech, and distortion of history. I want to extend my sincere gratitude to our colleagues in Dutch Parliament as well as Ambassador TigranBalayan.
