World-famous Spanish football coach, former Real Madrid coach Vincent del Bosque is in Armenia at the invitation of the Armenian Football Federation. He is carrying out a seminar and trainings with Armenian coaches. He spoke to sports journalists at the AFF Football Academy.
The coach first congratulated the Armenian Football Federation on the Armenian football team’s wins against Liechtenstein and Greece, since those victories bring Armenia closer to the dream of participating in the 2020 European Championships.
As far as how it happened that he came to Armenia, del Bosque said that he has good friends who work for the Armenian football team. They were the ones who invited him and they only told him great things about Armenia.
Vicente del Bosque said that there are many necessary things that need to happen to help the Armenian football team to progress, including football fields for children, coaches who have connections with specialists, as well as physical preparation. “There are many footballers from Spain who leave the country in order to grow. The same goes for coaches. I have seen all of this in Armenia as well, which is a good thing,” the coach said.
