The Bright Armenia party presented suggestions on the vetting principles of Armenian judges. The head of the My Step faction, Lilit Makunts, told Aravot.am and 168.am in an interview that they are familiar with the suggestions, but the working group would give its final decision. She said that if the Prosperous Armenia party were interested in this issue too, a representative from the party would be included in the working group as well.
Lilit Makunts appealed to the Speaker of the National Assembly. She believes that there will be a meeting regarding the work.
Representatives of the My Step party Lena Nazaryan and Lilit Makunts declared that the Supreme Judicial Council should carry out the vetting. However, the Bright Armenia party suggested that an independent committee be created. Lilit Makunts discussed why they believe that the Supreme Judicial Council should carry out the vetting. They believe that it is more rational and effective for the working bodies to carry out vetting. They discussed Bright Armenia’s offer, but “some problems arose” concerning the committee.
