“This was not the exchange that the Azeri mass media tried to depict,” said Spokesperson of the Armenian Foreign Ministry Affairs Anna Naghdalyan referring to the exchange of Armenian and Azeri citizens in an interview with journalists.
“It was the initiative of the Republic of Armenia and it was based on international humanitarian norms. Armenia took this step without preconditions,” Anna Naghdalyan emphasized.
Zaven Karapetyan was returned to Armenia from Azerbaijan.
