Swimmers finish in European Championships with new records for Armenia

Armenia’s young swimmers finished competing for their age groups in the European Championships. Nina Kirakosyan finished the 50-meter butterfly at 0.29.57 seconds and broke a record for Armenia. The previous day, she competed in the 4×100 medley relay. For her 100 meters, she did the backstroke in 1.08.08 minutes, which was also a record. 

There were many expectations for Artur Barseghyan on the last day. He won in the first stage of the 50-meter freestyle and finished in 0.23.35 seconds during the semi-finals. He was not able to compete in the finals and compete for a medal, however.
