The Yerevan Zipline Airlines company, which has been working for two years, gave Armenian reporters the opportunity to make use of its services.
Co-founder and chair of Yerevan Zipline Airlines Zhirayr Musheghyan welcomed reporters and presented the novelty that is the only one of its kind: VR flights. It is a special flight using 3D VR glasses during which people will see an alternative virtual reality as they are flying through the air. This increases an adrenaline rush and surprises people who are experienced in ziplining.

“Our zipline is the longest in the region and the only one in the world that goes under a bridge. We have two flights- one that is 870 meters and one that is 650 meters. The speed of these flights can reach up to 140 km/hour. But this depends on weight, the wind, and the position of the individual. The height of the flight in the beginning is 123 meters, and is 75-85 meters under the Davtashen bridge. The other flight starts at 60 meters and finishes at 20-25 meters. This gives us hope that Yerevan Zipline Airlines will be included in the Guiness Book of World Records in the future. We are doing everything to make sure that ziplines and other services we provide are made available to many people. We also have different sales. Besides that, we have taken notes from international experiences and made sure that visitors have no requirements placed on them. We are the only one in Armenia to do this,” he said.
Aravot Daily asked if the majority of their visitors are residents of Yerevan or tourists from other countries. Zhirayr Musheghyan said, “About 70-80 percent of our visitors are tourists who have heard about us and know what services we offer.”
