Every day, millions of people travel through Moscow, but the streets of this city are clean and dumpsters are empty almost all day. There is also no garbage in gardens, corridors, and in hidden places throughout the city. It’s not that people don’t litter in Moscow. There is certainly no lack of garbage in the city, either; residents and tourists alike do their part in making the city dirty. But the garbage removal system works efficiently so that everything can look clean.
Moscow also frequently changes mayors, but that doesn’t cause its garbage removal system to suffer because the system is not determined by individuals. The garbage removal companies also clean garbage from hidden places.
But in Armenia, no matter what program is used to try and clean the country, the problem will not be solved because it is not systematic and the issue of managing dumpsters is still up in the air.
The emphasis on garbage removal is mostly placed on areas that are visible. But if companies avoid hidden areas, then we see an accumulation of garbage over the span of many years. This is not a problem only in the regions, but in the capital, too. If one is to look deeply within parks and gardens, they will find garbage that has accumulated over the span of months or even years, with the exception of a few that are managed by their owners.
