On August 27, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh Republic) Masis Mayilian received the delegation of the ‘Union of Informed Citizens’ NGO led by Program Coordinator Daniel Ioannisyan.
During the meeting, Daniel Ioannisyan briefed the Foreign Minister of Artsakh on the main directions of the organization’s activities in Armenia, as well as touched upon the programs outlined for Artsakh. In particular, he informed him of the training planned for the Police Service of Artsakh, with the involvement of experienced specialists from the Police Service of the Republic of Armenia, as well as of the methodological support to the Central Election Commission of Artsakh.
The sides exchanged views on the prospects of development of the civil society institutions in Artsakh. In this context, Masis Mayilian stressed the importance of strengthening the foundations of a democratic state and expressed satisfaction with the decision of the Government of the Republic of Armenia to facilitate the observation mission at the upcoming elections to the local self-government bodies of Artsakh.
