When asked if he will remain on the wrestling team after his father, Levon Julfalakyan, resigned, London Olympics silver medalist, world champion, and European champion Arsen Julfalakyan said, “I will keep it brief. My father said that my only problem is that I’m his son. I’m just as proud to have him as my father as he is to have me as his son.”
He continued. “As far as whether or not I will remain on the team- I definitely will. My goal has not changed; I will stay and compete until at least the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Unless I see that I don’t have any referrals, I won’t give up. My goal is to have a referral, but I will decide with my coaches, Levon Julfalakyan and Aram Julfalakyan, as far as whether that will be on the team or separate.”
