Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan spoke about the data compiled by the National Statistical Service during the recent government session. He said that in comparison to last July, the economic activity for this July reached 8.1 percent, which is a good statistic.
According to Pashinyan, it’s not a fantasy to have records of double-digit economic growth. “I personally don’t believe that it’s a fantasy to record double-digit economic growth. Our biggest problem today is that we are having issues with the time frame of capital investment volume growth. And if this issue would have been resolved in an effective manner, our economic growth would have been higher. There are subjective and objective reasons for this, and I want to state again that it’s most important for us to now plan capital expenditure for 2020, appropriate details for competition, and to organize all capital expenditure for January 1st.”
