Student accepted into Ranger College not given a US visa

18-year-old Inga Manucharyan, who is a European basketball champion, got accepted into Ranger College in the United States. Her parents are worried because classes started on August 26th, but she was unable to go to class. Inga Manucharyan applied for a visa at the US embassy twice and her application was rejected both times.

Aravot Daily asked the US Embassy in Armenia to provide commentary. The embassy’s press service said, “Data regarding visas is protected by the laws of the US. We are unable to provide commentary on individual visa cases.”
