Six years have passed since the incident. Vardan Petrosyan spent two of those years in prison.
It is impossible to escape from reality, from yourself, from the life you live, and from your fate. You must come face-to-face with it, just as Vardan Petrosyan is doing today. In “My Unfinished Song,” Vardan Petrosyan approaches his fate realistically. He talks about the days he spent in jail and in court, some parts of it emotionally, others humorously, others bitterly, and others with love towards his prison mates. Regardless of why they are in jail, they are all still people with different traits, different ways of caring, different flaws, and different advantages.
He explains the situation in his prison cell while speaking about the investigators and judges, prosecutors and doctors, and the cell mates and prison guards. He speaks about what he went through while shouting in despair. He also shouts with the joy of being reborn and with the fear of what being reborn meant.
At the end of the presentation, the audience did not let the actor go. Both the audience and Vardan Petrosyan understand that the unfinished song must be completed before writing new ones.
