Azerbaijan violated the ceasefire agreement 43 times between September 9th and 11th along the border between Azerbaijan and Armenia and between Azerbaijan and Artsakh. Spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense Artsrun Hovhannisyan claims that 43 times is a small number for three to four days.
“This number is the minimum, and it’s too small for us to determine anything. There hasn’t been a day in almost 20 years where this minimum number of violations hasn’t taken place. Therefore, what should we base this off of? If the situation is normal, what do we have to discuss?” Artsrun Hovhannisyan said when asked what the purpose of these gunshots was.
Military expert Karen Vrtanesyan did not wish to give an evaluation on the situation because he does not believe that the authorities are giving accurate numbers. Artsrun Hovhannisyan also disagreed with this number, saying that a couple of shots fired from a rifle was never such an important topic for discussion.
