The parliamentary commission for investigating the circumstances of the Four-Day April War held a closed session. The head of the commission, Andranik Kocharyan, spoke to reporters after the session. “We are investigating what took place at the border. This is important for us to be able to call people in for investigations in the future.”
The commission’s guest for this session was a member of the Armenian Armed Forces who had been at the frontline. Andranik Kocharyan did not mention this individual’s name. “We will inform you about any news.” He also said that they had received important information from their guest, whose stories left a tense impression on the commission. This person spoke about the situation at the border.
When asked if high-ranking officials and members of the military were present at the meeting, Kocharyan responded, “Why do you always want the high-ranking people? People who were lower-ranking are also important in all of this. Soldiers who have become heroes are more important. We need to find out what happened in April.”
When asked if people will be removed from their positions in the Ministry of Defense, Andranik Kocharyan said, “We are doing everything to make sure that there are no mistakes.”
