On September 16, at 04:01 information was received to “911” service that a car accident with fire had occurred on Yerevan-Meghri roadway, in Surenavan village, Ararat Province. There were casualties: the rescuers’ help was needed.
Two fire units from the Fire and Rescue Squad and the operative group of the Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of MES dispatched to the scene.
It turned out that on the right part of the 59th km of Yerevan-Meghri roadway (M-2), in the administrative territory of Surenavan village, “KamAZ” trailer truck (driver Razmik A. born in 1962) and “BMW” car had collided. As a result of the accident “BMW” car and the cabin of “KamAZ” trailer truck completely burnt. The driver and two passengers of “BMW” car died on the spot.
The fire was localized at 04:20 and extinguished at 04:46.

The driver and the passenger (Gevorg S. born in 1995) of “KamAZ” trailer truck were hospitalized to the medical center of Ararat town. According to doctors’ conclusion the casualties were in satisfactory condition.
The rescuers took the corpses of the driver (Varos M.) and the passengers (Kristine M. and Lusine M.) out of “BMW” car, moved them to ambulance car and removed “BMW” car to the tow truck.
