ARMENPRESS. Lawyers of ex-President Robert Kocharyan will appeal the September 17 court decision to the Court of Appeals.
Today, a Yerevan court of general jurisdiction denied Kocharyan’s motion on releasing him from pre-trial detention and dropping the charges.
“We will submit an appellate complaint regarding the rejection of the first motion,” Kocharyan’s lawyer Hayk Alumyan told reporters.
However, during the September 17 trial Kocharyan’s other lawyer Hovhannes Khudoyan filed a motion to court on releasing the former president on bail. The court said it will deliver its verdict over the motion at 17:00, September 20.
