“Nikol Pashinyan is leading Armenia towards becoming a plutocracy, a “Nikol-cracy,”” former Vice Speaker of the National Assembly and current spokesperson of the Republican Party Eduard Sharmazanov told reporters regarding the process initiated by My Step after the head of the Constitutional Court, Hrayr Tovmasyan, was removed from his position.
“I want to tell the parliament speaker that everything isn’t going to end today. Think about the interests of the state and don’t take Nikol’s bait. The executive branch does not have the right to interfere in the work of the judicial authorities,” Sharmazanov noted.
When asked if he considers Hrayr Tovmasyan to be one of the Republican Party’s people, Sharmazanov said, “Hrayr Tovmasyan belongs to his wife.”
