“I do not know what their motives are,” Minister of Defense Davit Tonoyan told reporters regarding the resignations of Artur Vanetsyan and Valery Osipyan. According to him, “I don’t know about the police chief, but the National Security Service chief made the decision on his own.”
Tonoyan was somewhat surprised by these resignations. “If my colleagues and friends wish to share the motives behind their resignations with me, I would like to know what they are.”
When asked if he had asked Vanetsyan what he was referring to when he mentioned the “officer’s honor,” Tonoyan said, “I will ask him when I have the opportunity to do so. I’ll ask him at the next football game.”
