Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a consultation to discuss issues related to prominent Armenian writer Hrant Matevosyan’s cultural center-museum. The meeting focused on the construction process and planned activities of Hrant Matevosyan’s cultural center-museum, including the administrative, organizational and financial aspects.
The Prime Minister noted that the Government attaches great importance to the establishment of a cultural center-museum representing and propagating Hrant Matevosyan’s literary heritage, and suggested that the writer’s son David Matevosyan should join the Hrant Matevosyan Cultural Charitable Foundation, the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, and the Yerevan Town Hall to discuss, develop and submit a project by December this year, involving relevant professionals. The project is supposed to provide comprehensive solutions for organizing the Center’s activities.
In this context, Nikol Pashinyan referred to the Government’s strategy of improved efficiency of cultural institutions. He noted that the programs of activities of cultural organizations should include an estimate of own revenues and the possibility of attracting investments.
The Prime Minister said other cultural institutions should follow the example of Hrant Matevosyan’s cultural center-museum.
