Katarína Mathernová is in Armenia on a two-day working visit

The European Commission’s Deputy Director-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations Katarína Mathernová is in Armenia on a two-day working visit. On 19 September within the framework of the visit EaP Post-2020 Consultations took place in Yerevan.

The Deputy Director-General Katarína Mathernová, the EU Ambassador to Armenia Andrea Wiktorin and the RA Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Avet Adonts delivered opening speeches at the event,encouraging all the participants to actively contribute to the discussions and feel ownership for the EaP’s future beyond 2020, ensuring that the EaP remains relevant and inclusive.
The event was attended by the representatives from the RA Parliament, Government, EU Member State Embassies, civil society and private sector organisations, think tanks, academia, media, youth and other stakeholders.

In July the European Union opened a structured consultation on the future Eastern Partnership on a new post-2020 policy framework. All stakeholders are invited to submit their contributions on the following website by 31 October 2019 ? bit.ly/2SH1Er8
