Artsakh’s “Azat Hayrenik” (Free Homeland) political party spokesman, Vahram Poghosyan, shared a video on his Facebook page titled, “History will open many closed pages of Levon Ter-Petrossian’s greatness.”
Aravot Daily asked Poghosyan if this post reflects the opinions of the political party.

“I referred to arguments brought forth by Vazgen Sargsyan. I consider Levon Ter-Petrossian’s active support towards our victory in Artsakh to be invaluable. Of course, that is my personal opinion; that does not have any connection to the political party’s views. I believe that we need to wake up and find strength within ourselves to see the good in good things and the bad in bad things- in other words, to call things what they really are. We should not find political subcontext in any issue. Everything falls in line with this logic,” Vahram Poghosyan said, and continued. “Of course, this does not mean that there weren’t any issues with Levon Ter-Petrossian’s political activities. This also does not mean that I share the opinion Levon Ter-Petrossian and his team hold regarding the resolution of the Artsakh conflict- these do not have anything to do with each other. However, we cannot forget to emphasize his important role in the war- while, of course, separating those two factors from it. We have to separate his proposed solution from the actions he took as President and as Commander-in-Chief during those difficult times. Sparapet Vazgen Sargsyan also said this in the video I posted.”
