“It is dishonorable for both of them,” head of the Heritage political party Raffi Hovhannisian told reporters during a meeting at the Media Center regarding the statements made between Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and former NSS leader Artur Vanetsyan in the aftermath of Vanetsyan’s resignation. Hovhannisian called upon the Prime Minister and the former NSS leader to restrain themselves and to demonstrate behavior that is appropriate for their positions. He also said that this applies to all officials.
“This was a very non-serious situation and one that is inappropriate for the state. This also applies to the servicemen in the security system and the Prime Minister. The international community sees all of this and forms opinions,” Raffi Hovhannisian said.
Evaluating the work of Nikol Pashinyan’s government, the Heritage leader said that a lot of things are based on the Prime Minister as an individual. “And this is very worrisome. The state depends on an individual and that individual’s decisions. Pashinyan became the people’s messenger at the right moment, but now he needs to think about his successors. We will not benefit from seeing the Prime Minister or the state overthrown.”
