EU NEIGHBOURS. On 4 October, the Armenian capital of Yerevan will host a public event attended by beneficiaries of EU-supported projects focusing on youth and innovation.
The event is being organised by the EU-funded EU Neighbours East project and is aimed at discussing results and impacts on people’s lives, as well as promoting the opportunities that the EU offers to citizens of Armenia.
Each programme and project has real people behind it, with visions, funds and specific actions to support Armenian youth and to drive innovation. This meeting is a unique opportunity for the media and representatives of EU projects to get to know each other and to strengthen cooperation to ensure better information and awareness about EU-funded opportunities in Armenia.
The EU supports research and innovation, which help to increase productivity, create more jobs, improve competitiveness, and boost economic growth. In Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova, and Ukraine, the EU promotes this through the EU4Innovation initiative, which helps individuals, students, researchers, companies and education institutions with funding across many sectors.
