From October 6 to 9, Yerevan will host a major international event of the IT industry – the World Congress on Information Technologies WCIT-2019 (World congress on information technology). It will bring together more than 2 thousand participants from 70 countries: scientists and developers, leading industry companies, investors and government officials. As one of the world leaders in IT, the Russian capital is the official partner of the event, said Deputy Mayor Natalya Sergunina.
«Moscow will present at the forum more than 100 perspective developments. These are solutions in the areas of digital government, smart city, security, healthcare, education and human capital. All of them have good prospects both in the Russian and foreign markets. By the way, today urban IT companies export their products to more than 140 countries and provide jobs for 0.5 million people», – noted Natalya Sergunina.
According to her, among the main importers of metropolitan information technologies are the USA, Great Britain, Germany and Ireland. At the same time, in the first quarter of 2019, Moscow accounted for slightly less than half ($ 587 million) of the total Russian IT export volume ($ 1.2 billion).

It is important that Moscow presents at WCIT-2019 not individual projects, but entire product lines. They were formed by the Association of Software Developers “Domestic Software” with the support of the Moscow Innovation Agency. Each of the lines consists of well-compatible developments and is a complete solution for certain tasks. In fact, this is a ready-made commercial offer, which significantly increases the interest of international buyers.
«For example, the “Security” line included solutions, that protect the city’s infrastructure from any threats: the introduction of malware, targeted external attacks, fraud and theft of funds. The products and services presented in this line are widely used in the life of the city and have established themselves well», – said head of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development of Moscow Alexei Fursin.
In the “Digital Mobility” line, Cognitive Technologies will introduce the Cognitive Pilot technology, an artificial intelligence-based automatic driving system designed for installation on vehicles of any manufacturer. It allows you to navigate the car in the extension and flow of other cars, reducing driver involvement to a minimum and putting control in unmanned mode. The system is able to recreate the traffic situation in 4D at a distance of up to 300 meters. It is already used by companies such as Hyundai, KamAZ, Rostselmash.
The Botkin.Ai solution from the “Human and Social Capital” line allows saving lives by detecting cancer in the early stages. This is the world’s first artificial intelligence medical imaging product. The system detects lung cancer with a probability of more than 95%, and pneumonia in 99% of cases.
The “ABBYY Monitoring” solution presented in the same line takes education quality control to a new level. The platform for conducting independent assessments allows you to create a complete picture of the quality of education in the region: for the student, teacher, municipal and regional specialists. The platform significantly reduces the time and resources for conducting large-scale research. The technology is already used in several regions of Russia.
Another project in the “Human and Social Capital” line — professional navigation platform “Profilum”. Its task is to help high school students and students choose a future profession and navigate the possibilities of urban infrastructure for the development of their talents. This year more than 70,000 students have built their paths of professional development, and 100 students will undergo internships in high-tech companies in the city.
