Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport Arayik Harutyunyan visited the different vendors at WCIT 2019. Armenian companies were displaying their technological innovations, including robots clearing obstacles, engineering robots, multifunctional flying camera devices that do not leave the territory of the Republic of Armenia, and 3D printers made in Goris.
The minister was also shown mini airplanes that were created for rescue missions. They monitor forest fires with the use of artificial intelligence and they can remain in the air for one hour.
When a fire is detected, the planes send information out to the fire department. “This can also be used in the military industry,” Arayik Harutyunyan said.
