Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan attended the re-launch of the 220 / 110.10 kV Victory Substation of High Voltage Electricity CJSC by the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure. The project was implemented under the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development-supported Additional Funding for Electricity Supply Reliability facility.
The Premier was told that the substation is important for ensuring reliable electricity supply to Yerevan’s south-western districts, as well as several settlements in Armavir Marz.
Owing to the new 110 kV open distribution equipment installed during reconstruction the SCADA system will replace the two 125 MVA transformers to boost the transmission grid’s capacity, the power consumption downtown Yerevan and in the southern districts as a result of reduced power consumption.
