Yesterday a protest was organizedin front of the UN house in Armenia, and the participants were Syrian and Iraqi students in Yerevan, representatives of the Kurdish community in Armenia, members of the Armenian-Kurdish Friendship Organization and the largest youth organization – Federation of Youth Clubs of Armenia (FYCA). Participants of the protest with a tilte “Save Rojava (Syrian Kurdistan)” came to UN building with the slogans: “Turkey is guilty”, “Erdogan is a terrorist”, “Nothing has changed in 100 years”, “Turkey must recognize and compensate for Armenian, Greek, Assyrian and Kurdish gonicides” and demanded to condemn and make every effort to stop Turkey’s illegal invasion to Syrian Arab Republic.
Dr. Atom Mkhitaryan, President of the Federation of Youth Clubs, says: “We strongly condemn Turkey’s military invasion, which is particularly directed against ethnic and religious minorities in the north-east of Syria. It is, basically, atrocity, a grave and massive human rights violation, and the international community mustcondemn asap!”
Protesters conveyed a written message to a UN office and marched to Republic Square to inform RA citizens and international guests of the capital city.
